Zinc die Casting Plant for the production of high-strength compounds

Zinc die Casting is one of the most commonly used methods for producing a very tight connection with wire ropes. All shapes can be easily manufactured.

CNC Park for the production of ropes and Bowden Cable Wraps

We manufacture turned parts for Bowden cables on the most modern CNC lathes. Our machine park comprises 3 CNC lathes.

Strength check of connections

In order to guarantee the safety of the Bowden cables, our products are regularly checked for the required strength. On request we will be happy to provide you with the values. Reference values are:

• Soldering ca. 50 kg
• Presses on rope 1.5 mm approx. 120 kg
• Zinc die casting on rope 1.5 mm larger than rope break force

Who Invented it? Ernest Monnington Bowden

Patent 14402. The figures show the application of the invention, a bicycle rim break. A hand lever a pivoted on the handlebar is formed with an arm d ‘ of the brake, by a flexible c non-stretchable wire rope and free in a flexible hose b, of tightly wrapped wire, sliding. With our 3D printing system from 3D Systems, we are well equipped to print 3D parts of any kind in high quality. Our system consists of the following components, which we present here with the printing process and flow to the finished part.

Our 3D Printer and Setup

Unser Drucksystem besteht aus folgenden Komponenten:

• PC with 3D Sprint – software for additive plastic manufacturing

• Ultrasonic cleaning device – for cleaning the parts after printing
• LC 3D Printbox – UV post-curing device

With our software we read in your 3D data. The software then calculates the best way to print the part. Support points that are removed by us after printing are also calculated and placed in the most suitable places.

FabPro 1000 – 3D Printer

After the data has been read and processed, we prepare the print. The right material is selected and mixed so that it has the right consistency. Then it comes in the right quantity into the intended container, which is inserted into the printer.

The print job is then given and the parts are printed layer by layer. The liquid material is irradiated at the appropriate points and thus pre-hardened.

Ultrasonic cleaning device – for cleaning the parts after printing

After printing, which can vary in length depending on the part, we remove it and clean the remaining liquid material in an ultrasonic bath.

The support points set by the printer are also removed so that the final part corresponds to the model data.

LC 3D Printbox – UV post-curing device

Last but not least, the parts go into a curing device that works with UV light. Here the parts are used for some time to get the plastic to its final degree of hardness. After that, the parts are finished and can be used or further processed.

ARC Reuter GmbH was founded in 1998 as a pure manufacturer of rope and Bowdenzügen, and over the years a state-of-the-art company specializing in special applications in the industry and vehicle construction sector. A vision of the founder was always to offer the customer the extraordinary and to put into practice. In 2013, ARC Reuter GmbH was created as a pure research and development laboratory for Bowden cable applications and tests.

We manufacture individual parts and prototypes for you and accompany this in series with your suppliers or our partner companies who support us here.
